3CRP Race Schedule Keeps On Growing 3CRP has been continuously adding new races to our schedule as race directors spread the word about our great service AND as we add more of our own races. Newest additions are the Covered Bridge 5K in Henniker, NH and the Las Cruces (New Mexico) Half Marathon. Yes - New Mexico!
Worcester Half Marathon Smashing Success The Worcester Half Marathon presented by Reinke Sports Group with local race direction by 3C Race Productions was a smashing success in it's first year on June 13 in Worcester, Mass. 1552 runners from 28 states converged on Worcester for that city's biggest race ever and were treated to a first class event. While several minor issues need to be worked on next year, dozens of positive comments are flowing in from satisfied runners. Reinke Sports Group and 3CRP are looking towards the 2011 event - and might be adding Half marathons in Springfield, MA; Portland, ME; and Killington, VT to form a New England Half Marathon Series. Ditto Sounds familiar, but New England Race Directors continue to come to 3CRP for all kinds of Race Production support. Recent weeks have seen the addition of new races in Milford, Hudson and Bedford NH; and Brattleboro, Vermont; plus inquiries from as far away as Canaan, Connecticut. Look for at least a dozen or more events to be added to our Fall schedule over the next month. It seems we taught a couple of our clients a little too much about race production and they not only dropped us as their race producer, but they also hired lower cost (and lower quality) timing services for for their finish line management. Snowshoe Season Less Than 1 Month Away Snow started falling this afternoon here in Southern New Hampshire - reminding me that snowshoe racing season is less than 1 month away. 3CRP's season starts on January 2 with the Beaver Brook 5K in Hollis. We will be working on all the snowshoe races in the Granite State Snowshoe Series plus 3 additional snowshoe races. We hope to see you there. Yumm!!! 3CRP Web Redesign 3CRP's website is currently in the hands of a talented web designer and we will debut the new site over the winter. For now, we have updated the current site with our planned 2010 races. Many dates are set, but others are in flux --- due to the whims or local municiplaities and their many competing interests. We will update and finalize (mostly) our schedule between now and February 15. of course, our snowshoe racing schedule is almost complete - just waiting word from Pat's Peak on a date for our 8K snowshoe relay. We have also added a number of new races to the schedule for 2010. Maybe we will be able to do this full-time one day!?!?! 2010 Schedule On The Way 3CRP's 2010 Schedule is being worked on right now. We have some exciting new races planned for you. Perhaps the biggest is the 4K On The 4th --- a major production to be held in Concord, New Hampshire on the campus of NHTI. The 4K On The 4th will be the first ever USATF Certified 4K race in New Hampshire - thus the first New Hampshire runner of each age and gender will set a state age group record --- and be rewarded for it as we will have special medals for all age group record setters - yep, that's right --- 1 year age groups!!! Out of staters will compete in the usual age groups for a chance to win 4K On The 4th Pint Glasses (and soda mugs for those under 21!!!)

3CRP, in comjunction with the New Hampshire Technical Institute Cross Country Team and Delta Dental, will host the 1st Annual 4K On The 4th in 2010 at NHTI's Concord, NH Campus. This will be the first ever certified 4K in the state of New Hampshire, giving all runners the chance to earn their way into the state record book by setting age group records. The race will feature the usual beautiful, high quality t-shirts 3CRP has become known for, as well as chip timing, unique awards, and a post race bagel and fresh fruit breakfast. The Moose On The Loose 10 Mile Trail Race & Relay has been selected as a charter member of the Eastern New England Trail Race Series - a series of 20+ challengin trail races in Eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. This series is based on the wildly popular Gran Tree Series managed by the Western Mass Athleyic Club. The ENETRS is designed to give runners on this side of New England more opportunities to run in their preferred type of races - over the hills and through the woods!!!

3CRP Adds 3 Races To Schedule 3CRP is adding 3 new races to our 2008 schedule: The Feel Good Farm Trail Races in July (date TDB) in Lydenboro, NH will be full 3CRP productions. We will be scouting the trails in next weekend, but are planning on 2 distance of approximately 7K and 14K. The 7K will be a relatively flat and easy race, while the 14K will run the 7K loop and then head out for a very tough and hilly 7K more. The other 2 new races will be cooperative efforts by the race organizers and 3CRP. They are the Windham Flat & Fast 5K in Windham, NH on June 1 and the Spring Chicken Run 5K on June 15 in Nashua, NH.
3CRP Loses Doug Flutie 5K Despite helping the Doug Flutie Foundation raise over $48,000 in 2007 on their Eastern Bank Doug Flutie Jr 5K Road Race, we will not be working on their 2008 race as they hired a different race production firm this year. 3CRP was a subcontractor on the race in 2007 and the prime contractor did not win the bid to produce this year's race. While not certain, we believe a combination of a power glitch last year that delayed the posting of the complete results and a much lower bid in 2008 by one of their competitors was the cause. We wish the Doug Flutie Jr Foundation the best of luck on their 2008 race and are confident that all their runners will enjoy the great course that 3CRP designed for them in 2007.

3C Race Productions will be working with the Souhegan Valley Lions Club on the 30th Annual Peranut Butter Chip Chase 5K in Temple, New Hampshire on New Year's Day 2008. 3CRP will be contributing our race management and timing skills to the race over the next few years to grow the race up to 250+ runners. The Peanut Butter Chip Chase has a long history in Southern New Hampshire, but it's numbers have dropped from 175+ in the 90's and early 2000's down to an average of 115 over the past 3 years. By teaming up woth the Souhegan Valley Lions Club, we hope to bring the race back up to it's past numbers and beyond.

3C Race Productions has been hired by Yankee Timing as a subcontractor to help produce the 8th Annual Eastern Bank Doug Flutie Jr Foundation 5k Road Race. This race has attracted fields of between 1,000 and 1,800 runners over it's 8 year history and the Doug Flutie Jr Foundation has the confidence in our team to produce another top-quality event. 3CRP is in charge of the race course, race day registration and number pickup, athlete's village, and goodie bag production.
3CRP Race Production Biz Taking Off!!! In addition to producing our own events, 3C Race Productions can produce races for other organizations. Our first race for hire was on August 3, 2007 - the IDAA Sereni-Tea Party 5K in Boston. We produced this private race of 135 runners and walkers for an international convention of doctors that was held in Boston. In addition it looks like we will be co-producing a major race near Boston in the Fall --- a race with a 7 year history of attracting 1,000-1,800 runners and walkers. We are also close to signing a contract to produce a race next Spring for a Triple A sports franchise in the area, and have been contacted by several other groups looking for Professional Race Production Services. 3C Race Productions has been awarded 2 State Championships by the Road Runners Club of America. The Luv2Run Brockton 6K on July 1 will be the RRCA Massachusetts State Championship and the Luv2Run Bristol 5K on October 20 will be the RRCA Rhode Island State Championship.
USATF New England
Selects Moose On The Loose 10 Miler For Race #1 in USATF New England has selected the Moose On The Loose 10 Mile Trail Relay as race #1 in the Inaugural USATF New England Cross Country Gran Prix. This should bring the relay's numbers back up to year #1 of the Moose On The Loose, when it was just a relay and not an individual race as well. The Moose on The Loose 10 Mile individual Trail Race will still serve as one of the races in the New Hampshire Gran Prix, so both the Relay and the individual race will have very strong fields in 2007.
